This class definitely opened my eyes to what I am capable of as an artist and as a student. I tackled many assignments that when assigned, I thought I would severely struggle with, reminding me that I can take on difficult tasks. The first project that comes to mind is the fingerprint project. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get the paper to stay in the foam board. After lots of experimenting, I finally made it work and was very happy with my final result. This class challenged me, especially having to learn through zoom. The hands-on aspect is an essential part of an art course, so having to succeed from the solitude of your bedroom is not easy. Additionally, I came across a new perspective for simple everyday things like tin foil or toothpicks and their ability to be used in artistic ways. I look forward to taking my newly acquired knowledge from this class to my future classes and projects.
