Hand Interpretation

I chose the Hamsa as my “Hand Interpretation” because of the large amount of subjectivity it has. It can mean many different things based off of the culture you look at it from. In Judaism, The Hamsa is representational of the “Hand of God”. Hamesh in Hebrew literally means five (five fingers on the Hamsa hand). Hamsa is written in Hebrew in the center of the hand. Facing upward, it is generally a symbol to expel evil spirits.
