When I first enrolled in this class late, I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to fully grasp the concepts the class had already learned. I had never taken an art class at Lehigh, and was nervous that doing it remotely may hinder my performance. However, I was absolutely wrong! I really enjoyed learning all about space and how things fit together, and loved being able to tackle these projects on my own. My favorite project this semester was using the Tinfoil to create different textures and then, taking those textures/shades I captured and turning them into a self portrait with Photoshop. While I struggled with getting the tinfoil to bring out different dimensions and shades at first, once I began experimenting with the lighting and way I photographed it, it all came together. I also really enjoyed creating compositions with the Chipboard. While it wasn’t the easiest thing for me to work with, when I worked with them I envisioned myself creating mini structures, which reminded me of my love for architecture and great real estate. Overall, this class has taught me lots and I am so glad I took it this semester!
